OBJECTIVES

The National Hispanic Convention - LCMS was established in 2003 and is the principal national gathering of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations and ministers who are engaged in Hispanic ministry in the United States. Its main objective is for pastors, deaconesses, other leaders, church members, and families to gather and strengthen collaborative work together. The convention convenes every three years. The board it elects serves as representatives of Hispanic LCMS congregations in advancing goals identified at the convention and in regional gatherings.

In 2019, the Hispanic Missionary League, Inc was established as a separate, independent 501c3 organization to serve as the convention’s fiscal agent and as a means to support the gathering, equipping, and celebrating healthy Hispanic ministry throughout the US every year. It is in the process of applying for Recognized Service Organization status with the LCMS. The league functions with its own bylaws and board of directors in full cooperation with the elected leaders of the National Hispanic Convention-LCMS who also serve on this board.
